    Biografía

  • Las temáticas de las investigaciones del profesor Zurita se centran en Sistemas de Información colaborativos de apoyo al aprendizaje, tecnologías de apoyo al aprendizaje y la toma de decisiones, enseñanza de la ética, soportada mediante tecnologías, y la gestión de negocios en organizaciones, como la transformación digital.

    Ha sido pionero en la investigación del uso de dispositivos móviles de apoyo al aprendizaje (según JCR, el 2017 fue la investigación N° 43 más citada en el mundo de un total de 10.587 artículos científicos en al área). Tiene 34 artículos publicados en Web of Science Core Collection (WoS), 20 como autor principal, 14 como co-autor; y 13 corresponden a disciplinas en cuartil Q1. Cuenta con más de 100 artículos aceptados en Conferencias Internacionales, las que están publicadas proceedings catalogadas en Scopus, IEEE y ACM. A octubre del 2023, posee un total de 3.370 citas a sus publicaciones, según se registra en Google Scholar.

    Se ha adjudicado 16 proyectos ante bases concursables; 12 nacionales, cuatro internacionales, tres Fondecyt Regular como Investigador responsable (dos como investigador único), y seis en total como investigador y proponente único responsable.

    Del 2008 a 2019, fue Director de Investigación de la Facultad de Economía y Negocios de la Universidad de Chile y, desde el 2004, es director académico de diplomados del área de Tecnologías de Información de la unidad de Educación Ejecutiva.

    Del 2017 al 2022 fue miembro del Comité de Calificación Académica de la Facultad de Economía y Negocios, y desde el 2023 es miembro del Comité de apelación de Calificación Académica. Desde el 2023, es miembro de la Comisión de Evaluación Académica de la Facultad de Economía y Negocios

    Desde el 2020, es Editor Asociado IEEE Transactions on Learning Technologies (Revista indexada en WoS); y desde el 2017 ocupa la misma posición en Journal for STEM Education Research (Revista indexada en EBSCO).

    Actualmente viene impulsando la enseñanza de la ética en el ámbito profesional de las ingenierías, ciencias sociales y los negocios. Para ello, ha establecido varias prácticas pedagógicas con estudiantes de diversas carreras y universidades de Chile, Ecuador, Colombia, México y España.

    -Director de Investigación del Departamento de Control de Gestión y Sistemas de Información, desde agosto del 2008 a diciembre del 2019.
    -Director académico de diplomados del área de Sistemas y Tecnologías de Información, desde el 2004.
    -Director de la Unidad de Desarrollo Tecnológico - UDT (ex UCA), de la Facultad de Economía y Negocios, desde agosto del 2006 a agosto del 2008.

  • Sistemas de Información colaborativos de apoyo al aprendizaje, tecnologías de apoyo al aprendizaje y la toma de decisiones (DSS, EMS, KMS, BPM), enseñanza de la ética soportada mediante el soporte de tecnologías, y la gestión de negocios en organizaciones (transformación digital).
