Doctor en Ingeniería Civil, mención Ciencia de la Computación, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
Licenciado en Informática, Universidad Mayor de San Simón, Bolivia.
Formación Académica
Gustavo Zurita es Profesor Titular del Departamento de Control de Gestión y Sistemas de Información de la Universidad de Chile.
Fue director de Investigación de la Facultad y, desde 2004, es director Académico de diplomados del área de Tecnologías de Información.
Las temáticas de sus investigaciones se centran en Sistemas de Información colaborativos de apoyo al aprendizaje, y de gestión de negocios en organizaciones; en los que ha desarrollado varios modelos de interacción y prototipos de Sistemas de Información.
Ha publicado investigaciones en diversas revistas especializadas, siendo pionero en la investigación del uso de dispositivos móviles de apoyo al aprendizaje, que según el Journal Citation Reports de Web of Knowledge, es la 43 más citada en el mundo a diciembre del 2017, de un total de 10.587 artículos de la disciplina respectiva. Tiene 26 artículos ISI-WoS publicados, siendo en 16 artículos ISI-WoS el autor principal, y cinco como segundo autor; 10 de estos arti?culos corresponden a disciplinas en cuartil Q1 y dos de ellos en Q2. Cuenta con 86 artículos aceptados en conferencias internacionales que tienen un 30% de aceptación; de estos, 67 figuran en catálogo Scopus, 25 en catálogo IEEE y 28 en catálogo ACM.
Ha participado en un total de 16 proyectos adjudicados ante bases concursables, 12 son nacionales, 4 internacionales, 3 Fondecyt Regular como Investigador responsable (dos como investigador único), y 6 en total como investigador y proponente único responsable.
