    Biografía
  • Sebastián Maldonado es profesor Titular del Departamento de Control de Gestión y Sistemas de Información (DCS) de la Universidad de Chile. Se destaca por ser autor de más de 60 publicaciones indexadas en el área de Analytics, además de contar con importantes proyectos de investigación, como por ejemplo dos proyectos Fondecyt Regular.

    Fue presidente de la Sociedad Chilena de Investigación de Operaciones (ICHIO) y, desde el año 2018, conforma el Grupo de Evaluación Ingeniería 2 de la Agencia Nacional de Investigación, ex CONICYT (ANID). ANID es la encargada de entregar los fondos de investigación más importantes del país. Además, es
    vicepresidente del capítulo chileno de la IEEE Computational Intelligence Society.

    Cuenta con más de diez años de experiencia en proyectos de consultoría en Data Science, principalmente en los sectores de Banca y Telecomunicaciones.

     

    En pregrado, dicta el curso de Business Intelligence, y en educación ejecutiva es parte del cuerpo académico del diplomado en Business Intelligence.
