Research Centers

The School’s Research Centers have each specialized in a particular area of economics, business, management and auditing, allowing the production of knowledge relevant to real-world decision-making in public policy and in the private sector. 

 


INSTITUTE FOR HEALTH (INSTITUTO DE ADMINISTRACIÓN EN SALUD, IAS)

Generates proposals for development in a range of issues linked to the management of healthcare establishments and public policy needs in the health sector. 

CENTER FOR THE STUDY OF CONFLICT AND SOCIAL COHESION (CENTRO DE ESTUDIOS DE CONFLICTO Y COHESIÓN SOCIAL, COES)

Promotes collaborative research on social conflict and cohesion issues in Chile, drawing on a multidisciplinary team of social scientists.

GROUP OF BUSINESS LEADERS AGAINST CLIMATE CHANGE (GRUPO DE LÍDERES EMPRESARIALES CONTRA EL CAMBIO CLIMÁTICO,CLG-CHILE)

This group works alongside the academic world, promoting policies that favor transition to a low-carbon economy while offering the country sustainable development alternatives.

CENTER OF MACROFINANCIAL REGULATION AND STABILITY (CENTRO DE REGULACIÓN Y ESTABILIDAD MACROFINANCIERA, CREM)

Promotes research in the area of macrofinance, with impact on the design and implementation of regulatory and stabilization policies at national and Latin American level.

Lab in Growth and Competition 

The Lab is a research unit at FEN which brings together professors with a research focus on growth and competition.

Center for business development, with experience in the creation of tools and methods of excellence that support knowledge transfer and management of B2B companies in competitive markets.

CENTER FOR AUDITING, RISK AND COMPLIANCE

Cooperates with the analysis, creation and promotion of best practice in the issue areas of risk management, auditing in its various aspects, and organizational compliance.

CENTER FOR ACCOUNTING AND INFORMATION TRANSPARENCY (CENTRO DE CONTABILIDAD Y TRANSPARENCIA DE LA INFORMACIÓN, CTI)

Promotes discussion and knowledge creation linked to accounting practices and their relationship to information transparency on the part of businesses.

CENTER OF INFORMATION MANAGEMENT FOR BUSINESS (CENTRO DE GESTIÓN DE INFORMACIÓN PARA LOS NEGOCIOS, CGIN)

Contributes to the improvement of management control practices in the organizational environment, via research, publications and outreach, technical assistance, and contacts with the business world.

CENTER FOR TAXATION STUDIES

Contributes to the improvement of management control practices in the organizational environment, via research, publications and outreach, technical assistance, and contacts with the business world.  

CENTER OF INFORMATION MANAGEMENT FOR BUSINESS (CENTRO DE GESTIÓN DE INFORMACIÓN PARA LOS NEGOCIOS, CGIN)

Contributes to academic and professional knowledge of information management for business, via applied research and impact in the national environment.

CENTER OF INNOVATION FOR DEVELOPMENT (CENTRO DE INNOVACIÓN PARA EL DESARROLLO, CID)

Contributes to the definition of policy directions and the spread of best practice in creativity, entrepreneurship and innovation at national level.  

CENTER FOR QUANTITATIVE BUSINESS RESEARCH (CENTRO DE INVESTIGACIÓN CUANTITATIVA EN NEGOCIOS)

Contributes to academic knowledge of business, through research using quantitative methods.

CENTER FOR MICRODATA (CENTRO DE MICRODATOS)

Creates knowledge through the collection, production and analysis of high quality microdata.  The Center’s survey and education work seeks to generate impact on decision-making in the public and private spheres.
