
Mariana Zerpa is an assistant professor in the Economics Department of the School of Economics and Business at the Universidad de Chile. She holds a PhD and MA in Economics from the University of Arizona and studied Economics at the Universidad La República of Uruguay.
Her research work focuses on applied microeconomics and has focused, especially at the intersection of labor and public economics, with applications in health, education and development economics.
Prior to joining Decon, Mariana was an assistant professor at the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium). She has taught courses in labor economics, public economics and microeconomics.
