Culture

For the implementation of sustainability within the Faculty, the commitment and participation of the entire educational community are essential. Therefore, extracurricular activities and continuous education programs are required to provide the knowledge and values necessary to achieve a sustainable lifestyle.

Educational Campaigns for Sustainability

The FEN’s commitment to sustainability began in 2012 with the development of several projects. However, the successful implementation of these initiatives requires awareness campaigns and cultural change across all levels. These campaigns address socio-environmental conditions, human impact, the development and adoption of best practices, international agreements, and the 2030 Agenda, culminating in a broader understanding of sustainability through the presentation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Thanks to various training processes, we have been able to advance more ambitious projects. The Sustainable Office Program represents the challenge we initially developed within undergraduate schools and are now implementing at the faculty level. This program aims to incorporate sustainable practices into workspaces while also providing a platform for proposing innovation and collaborative work, essential actions to address emerging challenges.

The areas covered are diverse, and annually, recognition is given to the unit that has made the most progress in meeting its more than 30 commitments. Additionally, individuals who lead or advocate for sustainability within the Faculty are also celebrated.

Interventions

They are a very important space to develop creativity, collaboration, innovation, and teamwork among our students. These have been developed since the creation of commitments, manifestos, decalogues, and the development of other expressions: art, photography, and others that also contribute to the holistic formation of our student community and authorities who adhere and collaborate with the actions.
