María Teresa Ruiz-Tagle, Executive Director of CLG Chile and academic at the University of Chile’s School of Economics and Business, has been selected for the “Top 100 Latinos Committed to Climate Action 2025,” a distinction that highlights influential leaders across Ibero-America advancing decarbonization and the transition toward sustainable economies.
CLG Chile (Corporate Leaders Group Chile) is a high-level business coalition that brings together leading national and multinational companies committed to accelerating climate action. The group works to drive the transition toward a low-carbon, competitive, and resilient economy by engaging the private sector in public policy dialogue, corporate innovation, and strategic collaboration.
The recognition, granted by the organization Sachamama in partnership with EFEverde of the EFE News Agency, celebrates prominent voices in climate activism, environmental communication, sustainable policymaking, science, and corporate impact. Ruiz-Tagle’s inclusion underscores her leadership at CLG Chile, where she has played a pivotal role in mobilizing companies to embrace ambitious decarbonization strategies.
According to the official announcement, “her leadership in engaging the business community in decarbonization efforts makes her a key voice in shaping resilient and sustainable economies in Latin America.” The acknowledgment highlights both her influence and her capacity to work with companies that see climate change not only as a challenge, but also as an opportunity for innovation and competitiveness.
