FEN Uchile Joins the Global Business School Network (GBSN)

The School of Economics and Business (FEN) at the University of Chile has been accepted as an active member of the Global Business School Network (GBSN), a nonprofit organization that connects educational institutions, industries, and international agencies to enhance management and entrepreneurship education in emerging markets. GBSN unites over 150 leading business schools across six continents, fostering cross-border networking and knowledge exchange to build global capacity. This network provides a unique platform to connect educational institutions and support mentorship, training, and the professional development of educators around the world.

Among GBSN’s prestigious members are Sloan MIT, NYU Stern, ESADE, IMD, Oxford’s Saïd, Cornell, and INSEAD. With FEN now joining this distinguished group, it becomes the first GBSN member institution in Chile.

Membership in GBSN opens new opportunities for FEN students, who will now have access to international networking events and programs that strengthen their global connections in business. The membership also allows FEN to forge strategic alliances and collaborate with other leading business schools worldwide.

José De Gregorio, Dean of FEN, expressed enthusiasm for this new chapter, stating, "We take this membership very seriously. As a public institution, our mission is to be inclusive and broad, and to expose our students to the realities of the world they will face. [...] Our next step is to strengthen the Faculty’s international work, our engagement with the rest of the world. We don’t want to look inward; we want to look outward and offer our students those opportunities".

This membership underscores FEN’s commitment to academic excellence and international reach, affirming its growing reputation in both academic and business spheres. Through GBSN, FEN gains access to a powerful platform that enables the exchange of innovative practices in business education and collaboration with some of the world’s most influential universities and business schools. This global approach not only raises FEN’s profile but also brings cutting-edge knowledge that will be crucial in addressing business and social challenges in Latin America.

GBSN membership also presents a range of opportunities for FEN’s students and faculty, from participation in collaborative research projects to attendance at international events and forums. This environment offers FEN’s community a rich, diverse learning experience.
