MBA UChile: Academic Leader in Latin America in QS and América Economía Rankings

The MBA program at the University of Chile has firmly established itself as one of the top programs in the region, ranking #1 in Chile and #3 in the 2025 QS Global MBA ranking for Latin America. This accomplishment is particularly significant as the UChile MBA is the only Chilean program listed in the top ten for Latin America, climbing three spots from the previous year.

The University of Chile offers several versions of its MBA through the School of Economics and Business (FEN) and the Department of Industrial Engineering (FCFM), consistently earning top positions in international rankings. Currently, it holds the #1 spot in the Latin American MBA Ranking by América Economía, #2 in Latin America in the QS Executive MBA Ranking, and #1 in Chile and #3 in Latin America in the QS Global MBA Ranking 2025.

The success of the UChile MBA can be attributed to a combination of academic excellence and the high employability of its graduates—factors that have been recognized by various international rankings. Globally, the UChile MBA ranks 97th in employability, showcasing the strong impact its graduates have in the professional world. This makes the program one of the best options for those aiming to build a career in business and leadership.

Rodrigo Uribe, Director of the Graduate School at the School of Economics and Business, remarked, "These results undoubtedly make us happy, but it's important to see them as part of a longer process we started at FEN many years ago. We first achieved accreditation with AMBA (Association of MBAs) and about 10 years ago with AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), placing us in the top 5% of business schools worldwide."

AMÉRICA ECONOMÍA
In addition to the QS ranking, the 2024 América Economía ranking also highlighted UChile MBA. The program ranked first in Latin America for the academic credentials of its full-time professors and second overall among the best business schools in Latin America, making it the top Spanish-speaking institution.

According to the 2024 Latin American MBA ranking, the University of Chile’s MBA secured the top spot in Chile and second place in Latin America. The program was just 0.7 points behind Brazil’s Getulio Vargas Foundation, further cementing UChile MBA's status as the best option for Spanish-speaking professionals. América Economía described both universities as the "engines of the ranking," having consistently competed for leadership, with adjacent positions in six of the last eight editions.

“We have a very pure MBA, but we also prioritize new topics that are essential for companies, such as innovation, Data Analytics, sustainability, climate change, growth in Latin America, and entrepreneurship or intrapreneurship—essentially, new business ventures,” said Fernando Sánchez, Professor of Strategy and Innovation and Academic Director of MBA Sunrise, one of the five MBA versions offered by FEN UChile.

Professor Sánchez further explained to América Economía that FEN's goal is to provide comprehensive training to prepare students for various scenarios. "In reality, companies are combining topics. It's not AI or ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) separately, but rather how artificial intelligence can have a sustainable impact on operations. These combinations are very important to us, and our students must have these competencies clearly understood."
